- Note: Wix doesn't support custom form actions like other platforms
- Use the embed method - it's the best option for Wix

- You want the easiest setup possible
- You're building any type of Wix site
- You don't want to code anything
- You need a mobile-responsive form automatically
- You want to manage design in a dashboard
How to integrate
Follow these Wix-specific instructions
Note: Custom form actions not supported
Unlike other platforms, Wix doesn't support custom form action URLs for its native forms. This means you cannot point Wix Forms directly to Waitlister's endpoint.
Why Wix is different
Wix forms are tightly integrated with Wix's own backend systems. They automatically send submissions to your Wix dashboard and can trigger Wix Automations. Custom form actions would break this integration.
The embed method is better anyway
The embed method gives you:
• Faster setup (no form configuration needed)
• Better design control (customize in Waitlister dashboard)
• No Wix form limits (unlimited submissions)
• Works with all Wix plans
• Automatic mobile responsiveness
Alternative: Use Wix Forms + Zapier (advanced)
If you absolutely need to use Wix Forms (for Wix Automations), you can:
1. Create a Wix Form
2. Use Wix Automations or Zapier to forward submissions to Waitlister API
3. This requires a paid Wix plan and Zapier account
Recommended: Just use the embed method
Seriously, use the embed method. It takes 5 minutes, works perfectly, and gives you everything you need. No complex workarounds required.

Quick fixes for Wix-specific problems
Check that you added the script in Settings → Custom Code with "Load on: All pages" and "Body - end". Then verify you added an HTML iframe element with the correct embed code. Click Preview to see the form (it may not show in Editor mode).
Make sure you're using an HTML iframe element (under Embed Code), not a Text element. Text elements will show the code as text, not render it. The iframe element is required.
Adjust the data-height value in your embed code. Try 400px, 450px, or 500px to find the perfect fit. You can also adjust the iframe element size by dragging its corners in the Wix Editor.
This is normal! HTML iframes often don't render in the Wix Editor preview. Click the Preview button or publish your site to see the actual form. It will work fine on the published site.
Check your mobile editor in Wix. Make sure the iframe element is visible on mobile (not hidden). Adjust the mobile size if needed. Both Wix and Waitlister forms are automatically mobile-responsive.
Verify your Wix site domain is whitelisted in Waitlister settings (Settings → Configure → Whitelisted domains). Add both your .wixsite.com preview domain and your custom domain if you have one.
Make sure you're using the regular Wix Editor (not Wix ADI). In Editor, go to Add → Embed Code → HTML iframe. If you don't see it, you might be on a restricted plan - upgrade to a paid plan for full features.
Go to your Waitlister dashboard → Form → Editor and customize colors, fonts, and button styles. Match your Wix site's color scheme. You can copy colors from Wix's color picker using hex codes.
Clear your browser cache and do a hard refresh (Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R). Check browser console for script loading errors. Verify the script is still in Custom Code settings and hasn't been accidentally deleted.
You can have multiple waitlist forms on different pages without conflicts. Just add the HTML iframe element wherever you need it. Each form can use the same waitlist key or different keys for separate lists.
Common questions
About Wix integration
You can use the embed method on Wix's free plan, but you'll need at least a Combo plan ($16/month) to connect a custom domain and remove Wix ads for a professional look. HTML elements work on all plans.
Wix ADI (Artificial Design Intelligence) has limited customization options. For full control and to add custom code/HTML elements, you'll need to use the regular Wix Editor or Editor X. You can switch from ADI to Editor in your Wix dashboard.
Yes! Perfect for product launches, pre-orders, and "notify when back in stock" notifications. Add the waitlist form to product pages, collection pages, or create a dedicated launch page in your store.
Yes! Great for service-based businesses. Add a waitlist form for when you're fully booked or launching new services. Customers can join the waitlist and you can notify them when spots open up.
Absolutely! Works with every Wix template - business, online store, portfolio, blog, restaurant, fitness, events, and all 800+ templates. HTML elements are universally supported.
Yes! Customize colors, fonts, button styles, and spacing in your Waitlister dashboard to match your Wix site design. While you can't edit it directly in Wix Editor, the dashboard gives you full design control.
Export your waitlist from Waitlister to CSV, then import into Wix Email Marketing or Wix CRM. Create email campaigns to notify your waitlist when you launch or have news to share.
Direct integration isn't available, but you can use Zapier to connect Waitlister to Wix Automations. This requires a paid plan on both platforms. For most users, manually exporting and importing is simpler.
Yes! Add the waitlist form to each language version of your site. You can either use the same waitlist for all languages, or create separate waitlists with different keys for each language.
No! The Waitlister script is tiny (under 2KB) and loads asynchronously, so it won't affect your page load speed. Your Wix site will remain just as fast.
Yes! Create multiple Wix pages with different layouts/designs, each with the same waitlist form. Use Wix Analytics to see which page converts better. Or create separate waitlists with different designs in Waitlister.
Your waitlist will still work! The HTML iframe element and custom code stay intact when switching templates. You may need to reposition the iframe element to fit your new design, but the code itself doesn't change.
